The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON has attributed the successful airlifting of Nigerian pilgrims to the ongoing Hajj exercise to the cooperation and understanding of the presidency.
The chairman of the Commission, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan made this assertion at the pre-Arafah conference in Makkah.
Hasssan said every Hajj exercise was an experiment where evolving challenges were reviewed and tackled with the aim of preventing recurrence.

The Chairman stressed that the commission was doing its best and hoped that this year’s operation will go down memory lane as one of the most outstanding and successful Hajj ever in Nigeria.
Alhaji Hassan attributed the successes recorded thus far to the Commission Staff who put all hands on deck, with almost all board members physically on ground at various departure zones and actively participated in monitoring the airlift operations.
The Chairman told participants at the conference that the Commission took proactive measures by entering into an agreement for a five rescue flights in case there was any hitch targeted at the completion date. He said however, the rescue flights were later cancelled with hundred percent success recorded for the airlifts.
The NAHCON Chairman also appreciated the guidance, support, cooperation and understanding of the Nigerian envoy in Saudi Arabia.
